jesse: what do you attribute that to? > well, you said it very well. consumer confidence is way up - > amazing. but just, you know, a lot of positive energy out there in the market. congressman issa, the economy, red hot right now because of a lot of deregulation, because of the tax cuts. jesse: definitely making sure his promises are kept. he's moving this up in the rightĭirection - country in the right direction. so what tommy was talking about with kavanaugh, it's awesome. you have someone that's leading this country in the right direction. i mean, president trump cares on the our military. that's very important to a lot of voters. veterans died waiting in line for a very long time under the obama administration. they used to be able to watch porn, they used to be able to hurt people. right now if someone does something funky at the v.a., you can just fire them much more easy than you used to be able to do. jesse: so the president also bringing up protecting the veterans.
instead of being micromanaged, it was, hey, you ground troops, go get 'em handled, and that's what they did. was it changing the rules of engagement, was it the air campaign, or was it something that to coalition partners were able to do? > well, straightforward, it's smell called defense belies command. they said it was going to be a multigenerational fight. what do you do with an ideology like that? you kill them. of course, they were being supported by our air power and ground troops helping, but it was great to see that and great to see isis be obliterate like that especially when it had been said before this was an ideology that we could never take on. military, but it was also the iraqi forces that were out there for the first time really getting after it, taking the fight to the enemy. and the rest of them, the ones that are gone, they're not just - they're dead.
a few years ago there was 40,000 isis fighters. how do you think the progress has been so far in your opinion? > pretty simple fact to state here. traditionally, that has been a real problem over the last decade.
